David SerdukDavid Serduk is a veteran of the Canadian Forces (CF) with 20 years of loyal and dedicated service—having gained experience as a Communication Detachment Supervisor, Communication Centre Shift Supervisor, Communication Centre Supervisor, Communication Facility Supervisor, and Unit Training and Development Coordinator for military and civilian personnel.

During 1975-1995, David was posted at Gagetown (New Brunswick), Debert (Nova Scotia), Winnipeg (Manitoba), and Dundurn (Saskatchewan). He served on two overseas United Nations missions in Cyprus and Croatia. David also took many different courses related to infantry and communications. The highlight of his career was providing security support during the 1976 Olympics.

David is a recipient of the Canadian Forces Decoration (CD), United Nations medal for service in Cyprus (UNFICYP), United Nations medal for service in Croatia (UNPROFOR), and Peacekeeping Service Medal (PSM).

Following retirement from the CF in 1995, David turned his focus to financial services, life insurance and investments with a private sector company. He took various courses and eventually became a regional manager.

In 2009, Commissionaires Manitoba hired David as a commissionaire. They accommodated his preference for part-time work so he could spend time with his family and volunteer in the community. Today, David divides his time between serving as a Dispatcher and working at various client sites, when and as needed, as a spare.
