Commissionaires Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario, a Division of Commissionaires Canada,
respects your rights regarding privacy. We recognize that you have provided, and will,
from time to time, be providing us with personal information. This will include such information as
your name and contact information; information relating to Industrial Security Clearance with
Public Works and Government Services Canada (P.W.G.S.C.) including your financial status and employment history.
In addition to this required information, you may have also provided, or be providing, optional information,
such as information about your personal background including such things as
residential, family, criminal history (if applicable) and citizenship obligations.
How Do We Use the Information?
As part of our ongoing relationship with you, we use, disclose and retain verbal, written and Electronic Information
for the purpose of conducting our business. We may use, and disclose to the third parties described below,
any and all of the Information we have collected to the extent that its use and disclosure are necessary for us
and the third parties described to accomplish the following purposes:
Where required by Law we will share Information with Provincial and Federal Agencies
including Manitoba Workers’ Compensation Board, Human Resources Development Canada, Canada Customs and Revenue Agency
and other such facilities like Financial Institutions, Payroll and Accounting Programs, Group Insurance Plans (Medical-Dental-Life-Home),
or any other Agencies authorized to provide Service or Benefits to the Commissionaires.
We may disclose your Information to third parties such as Public Works and Government Services Canada (P.W.G.S.C.)
utilizing Personnel Screening Consent and Authorization Forms to request Reliability/Security checks
to include Criminal Record checks, credit checks or any additional Information that is deemed necessary to complete such processes.
We may disclose your Information to third party Agencies whereby Federal, Provincial, Municipal or Civil Law applies
to monitor, service and collect any accounts owed by you to any person(s), Company or Agency serving due process on the Commissionaires.
We may use and share your Information amongst us to respond to your request for
transfer, service or inquiries to improve the quality and efficiency of our service.
The information and products we provide to you, including asking you,
directly or indirectly, through verbal, written or electronic communications
will be Information that is deemed necessary to maintain service and continued employment with the Commissionaires.
We may use and disclose to each other, Information, (other than financial information) you have supplied
or will be providing for the purpose of employment obligations, including contract agreements and
additional Client specialized service requests. Some of our uses may include advertising and marketing initiatives
such as newsletters, monthly bulletins and letters of reminders.
Limiting Our Use and Disclosure of your Information:
If you prefer that we do not use or disclose your Information for any or all of these purposes
you may notify us of such at any time, subject to any legal or contractual restrictions,
by contacting the Division Office. The Director of Operations (Chief Privacy Officer)
may be contacted at 942-5993 Ext 215 or toll free at 1-877-322-6777 to answer your concerns.
If you do not notify us, we will consider you to have consented to our continued use and
disclosure of your Information for these purposes. A notification that we not use or disclose your Information
for these purposes may affect our ability to provide you with services and continued employment.
